Advanced technology for superior care

Sky Dental utilizes the latest dental technology to provide superior care to our patients:
  • Digital X-rays: Provide a safer 2D imaging process by reducing your exposure to radiation, while still delivering high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Kavo Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT): Offers highly detailed 3D images of a patient's teeth, jawbones, and surrounding tissues which improves accuracy in diagnosing complex dental conditions and allows for more precise treatment planning. CBCT allows for better visualization of bone structure, tooth alignment, and surrounding tissues. Additionally, it reduces radiation exposure compared to traditional CT scans, providing a safer alternative.
  • SkySmile Scan™: A comprehensive, accurate digital impression of your teeth, leading to a faster and more precise diagnosis and treatment.
  • Zeiss Microscope: Endondontic microscopes enhance the precision of dental procedures by magnifying the treatment area, improving diagnosis, treatment precision, and documentation. This helps dentists identify issues like cracks or microfractures, perform more effective procedures, and ultimately achieve better patient outcomes.
  • Comfortable treatment suites that include A-dec dental chairs and streaming entertainment: Ensures you feel relaxed and at ease during your visit with state-of-the-art, ergonomic chairs and the option to enjoy entertainment to make your experience more pleasant.
These technologies allow us to diagnose issues more accurately, ensure your comfort while doing so, and recommend the most effective treatments.

X-ray fact vs. fiction

Fiction: Digital X-rays contain dangerous radiation.
Fact: Digital X-rays are modern and safe. One coast-to-coast flight from NY to LA exposes you to 50 times the amount of radiation that you receive from one digital X-ray!
Fiction: You only need dental X-rays every 2 years.
Fact: At the minimum, the ADA suggests having dental X-rays taken every 2 years. However, at Sky Dental, our comprehensive patient care is focused on prevention and we suggest that all of our new patients have X-rays taken at their first visit. Oftentimes, x-rays are also needed to ensure a proper diagnosis when you have symptoms such as a toothache or sudden sensitivity.
Fiction: You only need X-rays taken when there is a problem.
Fact: X-rays are an excellent tool in the prevention of future oral health problems, which can save you money down the road!
